What Causes Sinusitis?
There are many things that can be considered and blamed as the causes of sinusitis. Sinusitis is a common condition and can be triggered anytime by anything from the surrounding (and sometimes from one’s activity). Causes of sinusitis can vary from person to person.

Some sinusitis can be caused by allergies. Allergens are everywhere, therefore allergy-caused sinusitis can be triggered anywhere. Sudden change of temperature can be also one of the causes of sinusitis. Lack of fluids in the body can also trigger the development of sinusitis. That is why physicians advice people to drink the right amount of fluids. Polluted air can also make the sinuses swollen and can lead to sinusitis. A weak and malfunctioning immune system can also be one of the causes of sinusitis. Without a healthy immune system, bacteria can freely infest the sinuses and can trigger inflammation.
The above mentioned causes are not the common causes of the disease though. The common causes of sinusitis are bacterial and fungi infections. The mucus that is trapped inside the sinuses is infected with certain bacteria and fungi. If it fails to be drained, it may lead to a more serious inflammation of the sinuses.
Aside from bacteria and fungi, excessive blowing of the nose can damage the sinuses. Infections can be caused by too much pressure because of nose blowing. Another activity that may cause sinusitis is scuba diving. The changing pressure underwater and on the ground may have a large effect to the sinuses.
But whatever the cause there is, treatments are very much abundant. It is advised to consult a physician on the early signs of sinusitis for immediate action.
