Herbal Sinusitis Remedies for Treating Sinus Problems

Sinusitis happens when an inflammation in the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract. Common symptoms of sinusitis include congestion of mucosa, cold, runny nose and difficulty in breathing.

It is necessary to treat the inflammation, congestion and the infection at the same time to relieve pain and prevent the production of bacteria. This way the sinuses can be drained and complications and relapses are prevented. Children can also suffer from sinusitis though the cases are rare.

Some of the herbal sinusitis remedies include Echinacea, eleutherococcus, ginseng, essential oil from plants, mint, nutmeg, niaouli, eucalyptus, cloves, thyme linalool and cloves.

Echinacea is an effective remedy due to its anti-infective properties. On the other hand, ginseng and eleutherococcus works as stimulants. Herbalists usually make thirty milligrams of each of these plants and take twenty-five drops of eleutherococcus every day and twenty-five drops of ginseng two times a day.

Mountain savory, common thyme and niaouli are anti-infective, which is best for sinusitis. You can also take mint, rosemary and nutmeg drops with one spoon of honey two times a day.

Mint is effective because of its essential oil and menthol properties. Mint is a god antiseptic, analgesic, digestive and tonic. Mint is used as a powerful ingredient in many stimulating drinks and other medication.

Children with sinusitis can be treated using cloves, eucalyptus and thyme linalol. Take one drop of each herbal remedies with one spoon of honey two times a day.
